The Atlantic NeuroSurgical Specialists' Brain Tumor Center has a multidisciplinary team that offers the most comprehensive and innovative treatments for patients with both benign and malignant tumors of the brain, skull base, spine and spinal cord. The ANS Brain Tumor Center is one of the busiest in the nation and each brain surgeon sees hundreds of patients each year with newly diagnosed or recurrent tumors.
The ANS Brain Tumor Center is co-directed by Dr. Yaron A. Moshel, co-director of the Overlook Hospital Brain Tumor surgery program and the Morristown Medical Center Endoscopic Skull base surgery center and Dr. Brian Beyerl, co-director of the Overlook Hospital Radiosurgery center. Our team of physicians cover a wide variety of hospitals and accept patients throughout the tri-state area.
Our physicians have expertise in treating a variety of conditions and have organized clinical programs in skull base surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, neuro-oncology, and endoscopic pituitary surgery. Our patients benefit from such highly specialized care bringing together experts in neurosurgery, otolaryngology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neuro-radiology, neuro-ophthalmology, neurology, neuropathology, physiatry and social work.
Conditions We Treat
Conditions treated in the Center include malignant and low-grade gliomas, metastatic brain tumors, lymphomas, meningiomas, pituitary adenomas, acoustic neuromas/schwannomas, colloid cysts and pineal tumors. The specialization found in the Brain Tumor Center means that patients benefit from state-of-the-art of scientific knowledge about their particular conditions.
Cutting edge minimally invasive treatment strategies are a particular strength and typically help reduce risk in brain tumor surgery. Advanced techniques such computer assisted surgical stereotaxis, endoscopic surgery, awake intraoperative functional brain mapping, electrophysiological mapping, radiosurgery and functional MRI can maximize tumor removal while minimizing the risks to our patients.
